What it does
DoodlePix brings your child into the Yoto creation process by designing their own pixel icons on paper. Download and print the DoodlePix template from the website: a blank grid for freestyle creation, or an existing icon as a paint-by-numbers or paint-by-swatches template for younger children.
Once the grid is coloured in, open the website's capture page and take a photo. DoodlePix converts it into a pixel icon which can be previewed on your device or uploaded directly to your Yoto account, where you can pick it as a track icon in the Yoto app.
The app uses OpenCV and Aruco markers to detect the bounds of the finished pixel grid, then picks out the colours and converts them into a pixel icon.
