What it does
Calendee is a simple, thoughtful app that helps kids understand time by turning important dates into countdowns they can hear on their Yoto player. On the website you create a card, optionally add your child's name so the countdown is personalised, and create events named the way you want them spoken.
Use the Yoto app to connect a MYO card to the digital Calendee card, which appears on the Playlist page of the Yoto app. The countdown starts at most 45 days before the event, two events can be added per card, and events are deleted automatically after they pass.
Relaunched on 22 April 2026 with icon selection, editable events and card names, and timezone updates. Audio is generated once when you click Update Card, and otherwise updates automatically at midnight; the maker explains this is to keep AI voice costs down.
